【Objective】 This paper reviewed the history and current status of research on Asian corn borer (ACB) and European corn borer (ECB) in the desert oasis ecoregion of Xinjiang, and analyses the main reasons for the invasion of Asian corn borer to replace the native European corn borer.【Methods】 In this paper, we collected national and international research literature, performed indoor virulence assays using indoor established populations of ACB and ECB, and finally analysed the main drivers of competitive substitution between ACB and ECB.【Results】 ACB is significantly more adaptable to high temperatures and has a wider host range than the ECB; in the same domain, the ACB is significantly less sensitive to insecticides than the ECB, and the ACB is significantly more fecund than the ECB.【Conclusion】 Replacement is the result of the cruelest interspecific competition. Through years of investigation, our team has found that the Asian corn borer has replaced the European corn borer in Xinjiang, and has become the main dominant species that harms the corn crop in most areas and has regional outbreaks in Xinjiang. The main reason for this is that the Asian corn borer's fertility is higher than that of the European corn borer, and the Asian corn borer's adaptability to the environment is higher than that of the European corn borer. Warming of the climate, prolongation of the number of days with extreme high temperatures, an increase in the area under maize cultivation, increased mechanisation and the widespread use of insecticides have accelerated the replacement of the European corn borer by the Asian corn borer.

【Objective】 The screening of mixed types and application amounts of high-efficiency insecticides for maize in the Ili River Valley, and the research on the matching technology of reducing and increasing efficiency were carried out to provide guidance for the coordinated and efficient control of major pests of maize in Xinjiang and cost-saving and efficiency-increasing.【Methods】 By using plant protection drones to spray pesticides with different insecticidal mechanisms, and at the same time with synergistic additives to reduce the application of the mixed combination of pesticides, the actual control effects on Ostrinia furnacalis, Monolepta hieroglyphica and Helicoverpa armigera were compared and analyzed.【Results】 The results showed that the control effects of different compound insecticides on Ostrinia furnacalis, Monolepta hieroglyphica and Helicoverpa armigera were different. The control effect of 30% chlorantraniliprole + 9.8% emamectin benzoate·lufenuron on the main pests of maize was better than that of 30% chlorantraniliprole + 22% thiamethoxam·high chlorine fluoride. The best pesticide and dosage for the control of pests by drone application were as follows : 30 % chlorantraniliprole SC 7.5 mL/667m2 + 9.8% emamectin benzoate·lufenuron (Sipurui) SC 18.75mL/667m2 + 10 mL/667m2.After 28 days of treatment, the control effects on Ostrinia furnacalis, Monolepta hieroglyphica and Helicoverpa armigera were the highest, and the control effects were 91.68%, 93.44% and 91.22%, respectively.Under the same formula of compound agents, the addition of flight prevention additives can reduce the dosage and increase the control effect.【Conclusion】 Treatment 5 is the best.Pesticide application at the big trumpet stage of corn can prevent a variety of corn pests. In addition, adding an appropriate amount of anti-aircraft additives in the process of anti-aircraft can achieve a better effect of reducing pesticide and increasing application.

【Objective】 To review the current situation of wheat industry development in southern Xinjiang, and put forward countermeasures to improve wheat yield level in southern Xinjiang.【Methods】 The current situation of wheat industry in southern Xinjiang was sorted out through literature review and interview. 【Results】 Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the annual sown area of wheat in Xinjiang has remained above 113.33×104 hm(1,700×104 mu). The five prefectures in southern Xinjiang are wheat industrial areas in Xinjiang, mainly focusing on winter wheat planting. The average sown area from 2021 to 2023 is about 60×104 hm(900×104 mu). More than 50% of the wheat sown area in Xinjiang; The total yield is more than 330×104 t, accounting for more than 50% of the total wheat production in Xinjiang; The yield per unit area was more than 370 kg/667m2, slightly lower than the average level of wheat in Xinjiang. The main wheat varieties in southern Xinjiang are Xindong 20, Xindong 22, Xindong 60, Xindong 55 and Xindong 40. A total of 14 new wheat varieties have been approved in southern Xinjiang since the "13 th Five-Year Plan", and the cultivated varieties have achieved a great improvement in yield, but the early maturity of the new cultivated varieties is not prominent, and most varieties belong to the medium gluten level. 【Conclusion】 The wheat planting area and total yield in southern Xinjiang are in a leading position in wheat production in Xinjiang, but the yield per unit area is lower than the average wheat level in Xinjiang. At present, the main wheat varieties in southern Xinjiang are still Xindong 20 and Xindong 22. The planting area of newly approved wheat varieties is not large, the promotion speed is slow, and the replacement of varieties has not yet formed.

【Objective】 This study was conducted to clarify the current situation of wheat diseases, pests and grasses in Xinjiang, and put forward scientific and reasonable comprehensive prevention and control strategies.【Methods】 The types, damage distribution and drug use of wheat pests in the main wheat producing areas of Xinjiang were investigated and recorded by means of questionnaire survey, field visit, field investigation and data collection, and the prevention and control countermeasures were analyzed.【Results】 There were many kinds of wheat pests in Xinjiang, among which frequent major pests such as wheat stripe rust, powdery mildew and aphids showed a tendency of multiple recurrence; minor diseases and pests such as wheat root rot, stem rot, nematode disease and dermatithrips tended to evolve into explosive major pests; resistance of dominant weeds in wheat fields tended to increase sharply. At present, chemical control was the main method for wheat pest control in Xinjiang. The frequency of administration was 1~2 times, and the control effect was relatively good. However, it is urgent to strengthen the research on the disaster regularity of wheat pest outbreak, the research and development of monitoring technology and pesticide products, the application of drug application equipment and the application of control and control. 【Conclusion】 We will increase the investment of innovation research and development in wheat plant protection technology and the construction of innovation system and mechanism, strengthen the basic theoretical research of wheat plant protection, innovate green pest control and intelligent monitoring technologies, improve the wheat plant protection service system, and provide technical support for the comprehensive control of wheat pests in Xinjiang.

    Abstract ( )   HTML ( )   PDF (466KB) ( )

【Objective】 To summarize the current status of grape cultivation in Xinjiang, this study conducts research on major cultivated varieties and primarily promoted technologies, and analyzes the development of the grape industry from three perspectives: fresh-eating, drying, and winemaking.【Methods】 Data was collected through official websites, literature, and production site research, and summarized using literature review and statistical analysis methods. 【Results】 The Turpan-Hami Basin primarily cultivates the seedless white grape variety, which is suitable for both drying and fresh-eating. The southwestern edge of the Tarim Basin mainly focuses on the fresh-eating grape variety Munaige. The Ili River Valley region is dominated by the Red Globe variety. The areas along the Tianshan Mountains in northern Xinjiang are primarily engaged in fresh-eating and winemaking. The newly promoted fresh-eating grape variety is Xinyu, while the variety suitable for both fresh-eating and drying is the Centennial Seedless grape. The primary grape cultivation technique promoted is the single cordon along the ditch obliquely, which is labor-saving and facilitates mechanized operations.【Conclusion】 It is recommended to develop machinery for grape pruning and other related tasks. Additionally, demonstration gardens should be established to showcase and promote new grape varieties and technologies. Meanwhile, efforts should be made to accelerate the replacement of outdated grape varieties in traditional producing areas such as Turpan and Hotan. Furthermore, practical grape cultivation training should be strengthened to achieve quality improvement and efficiency enhancement.
